As summer approaches so does our hankering for a holiday! We thought we’d take a look at the five most luxurious resorts in the world to give you some vacation inspiration:

High rollers from around the globe flock to the Las Vegas Palms Casino Resort to experience the true luxury of the US casino capital. The Hugh Hefner Sky Villa alone can host 250 people at a time, has a rooftop Jacuzzi that looks over the strip, a glass elevator, a spinning bed, a gym, a sauna, a media room, and a bar. Of course, the 95,000-square-foot casino draws in a huge crowd with an extensive range of table games and slots. Plus, there’s in-room Wi-Fi in each room so you can play online roulette or slots from your Jacuzzi. We wouldn’t blame you!
4. Secret Marquis, Los Cabos
Few hotels can actually boast the term ‘legendary’ literally, but the Secret Marquis can. The lobby is based upon the exploits of two angels who sought paradise on our planet, and so opens up onto the sea like a temple. There are one-of-a-kind sculptures, waterfalls, infinity pools, a spa and lavish rooms complete with balconies and dipping pools. Not to mention George Clooney owns a $50 million beach villa next door!
3. Burj Al Arab Hotel, Dubai
Chances are you have already seen this hotel, as it’s the one built to resemble a swelling sail. Every suite in the Burj Al Arab Hotel has two floors, complete with modern furnishings and extraordinary views. There are tennis courts, a heliport, plenty of restaurants and bars, plus 24-hour butlers and an armada of Rolls Royce cars with chauffeurs. A night in the Panoramic One-Bedroom Suite costs $2311, though the bathroom does have a full-size Jacuzzi and there’s every piece of office equipment you could ever need including a 21-inch Mac.
2. Mardan Palace Hotel, Turkey
The Mardan Palace Hotel, situated in Antalya, is home to the largest swimming pool in the Mediterranean, 10 restaurants, 17 bars, a spa and even an exotic aquarium. Billionaire Telman Ismailov funded this $1.65 billion palace project, even going as far as flying 9,000 tons of white sand from Egypt for the beach. There are ten types of suites ranging from a Premium Room to the Royal Room, however the only packages available right now are Luxury All Inclusive from $417 per night.

Consisting of 394 suites, 40 conference rooms, numerous pools, a luxury spa and a fitness centre it’s no surprise Emirates Palace cost $3 billion to build. There are over one thousand crystal chandeliers throughout the lavish lodge and marble has been imported from thirteen different countries around the world. A night in the Palace Pearl Suite will set you back $2,783 this summer, though you will have access to a butler 24 hours a day. Alternatively, the Coral Room costs around $360 a night if you’d rather save your money, plus you’ll have access to a beautiful garden.
