There are many walking tours to go on in Barcelona. When you stay in an apartment in the Barrio Gotico or the Gothic Quarter, you have more freedom to enjoy the full Spanish experience. It really is the best way to enjoy it with this special Picasso, Gothic Quarter and Sagrada Familia Offer.

Look for available apartments for vacations rentals. There are very narrow streets and lanes in this area which create natural traffic restrictions making this the perfect walking area.

While you enjoy Picasso and Gothic Quarter you will be very close to some of the most touristy areas of Barcelona. You are also in a part of Barcelona where history is felt unlike anywhere else.

There are plenty of apartment choices in this section of Barcelona. You can dine by stepping outside your apartment and walking a few short blocks. You are also close to La Boqueria Market, which is one of the most famous Catalan markets in Las Ramblas. You are also close to Port Vell and you can walk there from your apartment. If you want to go to the beach, simply get on the Metro, and you’re on your way in about 15 minutes.

Clearly it is possible to enjoy Picasso and Gothic Quarter in Barcelona without even renting a car. This is especially true when you rent a good apartment in the area. Most all will allow you to be near many restaurants that serve anything from local Catalan food dishes to Thai or Arab meals.

Prices for meals can be affordable but they can also range all the way up to the rather expensive. Still, if you are staying in an apartment in Gothic Quarter you can cook your own food in your apartment. This allows you to save money and feel more at home while away from home. Before you rent an apartment be aware that Barrio Gotico is a very touristy area.

This can mean you have to use extra precaution when walking around. Pick-pocketing can be common. Also during the festivals that occur in Barcelona such as that of the Barca soccer games you might find that it is hard to get sleep because there can be lots of noise outside of your apartment. Enjoy an authentic Barcelona vacation when you combine a stay in an apartment in Gothic Quarter with proximity to the Museo Picasso.
